The companies in the Vifor Pharma business sector form an integrated specialty pharma group.
Vifor Pharma develops and manufactures prescription products and Consumer Healthcare products and markets them worldwide, both through its own international sales structures and through local partners and agents.
In terms of prescription medicines, Vifor Pharma is focused on the treatment of iron deficiency, particularly for the indications anaemia and nephrology, an area in which it is a world leader. The company concentrates on researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing its own products and on potential future in-licensed medicines.
Vifor Pharma also conducts clinical studies for the application of medications for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases.
Vifor Pharma manufactures prescription and OTC products developed within the Group or produced or sold under license, and markets them on international markets. The company plays a leading role in the area of non-prescription medicines, both in Switzerland and in selected countries of export.
