10 | Galenica annual report 2018 Galenica is the leading fully integrated health- care provider in Switzerland and plays its part within the country’s diverse healthcare system by ensuring that medications, health- care products and cosmetics are in the right place at the right time: in pharmacies and drugstores, medical practices, hospitals and nursing homes, or even customers’ own homes. To this end, Galenica operates the largest pharmacy network in Switzerland, four logistics centres and specific IT platforms. What we offer Retail Business sector Through the Galenicare company, Retail operates Switzer- land’s largest pharmacy network, with over 500 own, joint venture and partner pharmacies. These include the Amavita and Sun Store pharmacies as well as the Coop Vitality pharmacies, which are operated under a joint ven- ture. In addition, the company Winconcept supports inde- pendent pharmacies operating under the Feelgood’s brand. Together they serve around 100,000 customers daily, offering them a wide range of medications, toiletries and beauty products as well as various on-site healthcare ser- vices and tests. The range of services is complemented by specialty phar- macy Mediservice, which specialises in dealing with people suffering from chronic and rare diseases, and by Careproduct, a company focusing its operations on the provision of mobility aids such as wheelchairs as well as incontinence products for the elderly and people with a disability. The formats at Retail are also constantly expanding their online offerings. For example, the Amavita, Sun Store and Coop Vitality pharmacies offer “ Click & Collect ” and pro- vide additional services on their smartphone apps .
