The sixth Annual General Meeting of Galenica Ltd. was held on 3 May 2023 at the Kursaal in Bern. The shareholders approved all the proposals of the Board of Directors. They also approved the dividend proposal of CHF 2.20 per share, +5% on the previous year. The Annual General Meeting also elected Dr Markus R. Neuhaus as the new Chair of the Board of Directors and Prof. Dr med. Solange Peters and Jörg Zulauf as new members of the Board of Directors.
The sixth Annual General Meeting of Galenica Ltd. was attended by 392 shareholders, representing a total of 73.6% of the registered voting shares of Galenica Ltd.
Press release, Wednesday, 19 April 2023Today, Galenica successfully placed a fixed rate bond of over CHF 240 million. The bond has a term of 6.5 years and an annual coupon of 2.35%. The income from the transaction will be used for refinancing a maturing bond and for general corporate purposes.
Ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 LR, Thursday, 30 March 2023As part of a strategic partnership, Galenica and Shop Apotheke Europe N.V. are combining the business activities of the specialty pharmacy Mediservice Ltd. and the online pharmacy shop-apotheke.ch in a joint venture. This combination creates the leading online pharmacy in Switzerland. Shop Apotheke Europe will hold 51% and Galenica 49% of the joint venture. The transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities.
News, Tuesday, 8 March 2022A lorry with 27 pallets full of medicines and medical articles, which left the Galexis distribution centre in Niederbipp last Saturday, arrived in Lviv, Ukraine, yesterday.
About 48 hours after leaving Switzerland, Galenica's first aid transport has arrived in Ukraine. The Planzer drivers who carried out the transport handed over the urgently needed medicines and medical items to a specialized in Lviv. From there, further distribution to hospitals throughout Ukraine is being organised. Further transports are in preparation.
As part of its relief efforts for the people in Ukraine, Galenica had also encouraged its employees to support Swiss Solidarity's fundraising campaign. Galenica will again donate the sum of the amounts paid in, thus doubling the individual donations. By yesterday, Monday, the employees of the Galenica Group had already donated over CHF 66,000.
